It's so nice to see the sun again. Hope you're all staying warm on this frosty morning.
I'm counting down the weeks to spring. How 'bout you? I mean the real spring where the snow has melted and the flowers are starting to bloom. We all know that the date on the calendar means nothing in this part of the country.
Despite the frosty temps, there's still lots going on around here as new life arrives in the barn.
The pic is of the first 2 sheep who lambed last week and their 5 lambs. The rest won't arrive until early April. As some of you may know, I milk my sheep and use some of it to make my sheep milk soap. The rest I sell to Say Cheese, an artisan cheesemaker, who uses it for their yogurt. Hans and Saskia were recently featured in a local newspaper. You may have to cut and paste the link if you'd like to see the article I've shared.
I'll be sending out this year's sign up form next month. Until then, I still have some ground beef available, in case you're running low, and I still have some turkey pieces, if you're looking for something different to add to your dinner repertoire.
