Is it spring yet? I can't tell

After weeks of down-right chilly weather, it looks like spring has finally arrived on the farm with the promise of double digit temperatures this week. Good thing since the first batch of meat chicks arrived 3 days ago and they like toasty temperatures. Yes, the picture is them sitting in my bath tub as I quickly added even more blankets and bales of wood shavings to their barn home. Happy to report the sound of contented peeps each time I've gone in to feed and water them. In a few short weeks, they'll have their feathers and be ready to venture outside during the day. Toby is very helpful in encouraging them back into the barn in the evening. It's a job he loves and one I couldn't do without him.
